[Dailydrool] AZBHR at 83 in foster care Georgia at 100 and BBR in Wis at 100 so many rescues in need

WOW so many rescues are so full.AZ Basset Rescue has 83; Georgia has 100;
Basset Buddies Rescue has 100 and I saw today that GABR has 40 and adoptions
are very slow..not sure on other rescue totals but let's help the rescue
groups with adoptions, fostering and donations this holiday season!  I'm
thankful for all the volunteers and foster homes in the rescue community and
very thankful for all who donate or host fundraisers to help support the
hounds!  Droolers rock!

 

AZBHR just took in COSMO.read his story:

 

My name is Cosmo. I am an old man, 12+ years old they tell me.  I was
brought to Maricopa County Animal Control in Phoenix, AZ .  I was scared and
sad and didnt move a muscle in that kennel.  I was scheduled to be
euthanized on Monday morning at 11 o'clock.  Just at 11 a kind person from
AZBHR came and saved me.

I could barely walk and she had to lift me into the car.  I was taken to a
kind vet named Val who looked me over and kept me over night.  My hair was
so matted with dirt and oil they had to bathe me 2 or 3 times.  Boy that
felt good.  It turned out that I have a heart murmer, bad hips, an ear and
eye infection, and a very bad uti, I am a meer 30 lbs.   They were kind
enough to send me home with the nice lady and lots of medicines. Oh did I
mention I am blind?  I can see shadows in bright light.

Despite all of this, AZBHR said I am safe in a foster home where I will be
cared for and loved.  I am spending my first night in a house with lots of 4
legged brothers and sisters.  I can finally sleep without being afraid.
Thank you Arizona Basset Hound Rescue.  You are truly The Face of Love!!!

 

He should be on our website in next week..he will be a forever foster and
stay with AZBHR til it's his time to go to the Rainbow Bridge.

 

Thank you to all the rescue groups who help save the Bassets...you have a
special place in my heart and my hounds say AROOOOOO to YOU!
