I had a dog named Allan since he was born. He was a gift from a boyfriend who had his parents. Allan was quite stubborn and all the books I read at the time said to be firm and show him where to pee and praise him when he did it right. He never learned. He only learned where to pee when I started giving him a praise and a BISCUIT! In 2 days he learned and never forgot.
