[Dailydrool] another Elmo update

Elmo's urinalysis shows some good improvement over his culture
2 weeks ago so we got another 2 weeks worth of Baytril and
then we'll do another urinalysis and an ultrasound.  Unfortunately
the Baytril is upsetting Elmo's digestive tract so tonight it's no
chow, no treats, no nuttin' except for meds and water; then starting
tomorrow he can have 1/2 rice and 1/2 chow for 48  hours.  He also
got some medication for his diarrhea to start tomorrow.  Still not  
ruling
out bladder cancer, but we are hopeful as he seems to be doing so much
better and is displaying some real bassetude.

Now anyone who has met Elmo knows that he is not going
to be a happy camper tonight.  He's going to fuss and yell
and bob his head and stamp his big fat paws and generally
make life miserable for me, Bill and  the rest of the gang.  Dad is
going to take him for a ride in the car while I feed everyone else
and then the hell will begin.  I'll be having some Advil shortly - it's
going to be a long night. . .

We hope Elder Clara's being home will make her hungry again;
let me know if you want Elmo to come up and give her a good
talking to. I doubt he understands not wanting to eat . . .

Sad ahroooos for the loss of Nicki - we know about those seizures
and how helpless they can make you feel.

Drool to all in need or missing a beloved hound.  Please keep
the no cancer drool coming for Elmo as you have some to spare.
