[Dailydrool] Poor Llewis

Bev, your story about leaving Llewis out - twice! - made me wince, and
laugh.  You see, to manage a couple of food-aggressive hounds around here,
we feed all four in separate rooms.  (Hector, Bozlee, Barney, and Millie,
the UnderGround Hound, who we've officially adopted, BTW.).  SO everyone
goes into their room at mealtime, then I bring them each their bowls.  Then,
as they get done, I let them out.

Well, every once in a while, Barney decides to take his own sweet time
finishing his food, so I leave him in there to finish in peace.  Once, about
three months ago, we left soon after their suppertime to catch a 7:30
movie.  When we got back home, we couldnt' find Barney.  Panic!  Finally, we
opened "his" meal room door, and there he was.  We forgot to let him out
after supper!!!!  And he never made a noise, either, when we came home and
were looking for him, and all the others were barking to get their
you-left-us-now-you-have-to-give-us-cookies cookies.

Another time, he was taking forever to finish breakfast, so I left him in
there while I got Noel fed and off to work.  Then I went back to bed.  About
two hours later, I could here Barney WHINING somewhere, and it kept waking
me up, and he wouldn't shut up and let me sleep.  I kept yelling "god,
barney, Shut UP already!" (In my defense here, let me say that occasionally
Barney has whining fits that come from nowhere and go on and on and on, for
no reason I can find.)  Anyway, I finally got up, to go find him and
throttle him.... and he was in his meal room again, softly whining to please
be let out, he was done with breakfast now, really he was, and mommy, why
are you yelling at me to shut up instead of letting me out, I gotta peeeeee?

So you're certianly not alone in being a bad mommy.
