House of Puddles has been selected to participate in Rachael Ray's
Mutt Madness contest for cash awards as much as $50,000! There will be
6 rounds of voting to eliminate candidates-the 1st round starts with
32 pairs of rescues to vote for. HOP is on the left-hand side, 11 down
from the top. Please register on Rachael's site and vote for HOP!  HOP
is the only basset organization in the running!!

It takes a few minutes - you have to register, then vote for one
rescue in each bracket on both sides of the page...but it's 5 minutes
well spent. Log on and vote for HOP! They keep taking in more bassets
and have another one on the way!

Recently Rachael's website has been having technical difficulties.
The details are below, but if you aren't sure if your vote went
through, please try again.

Thank you for visiting Mutt Madness. We had a rough start to this
first week due to many technical difficulties people were having with
the site. Due to these problems, we will extend the program by one
week, meaning this first week will not end on Monday night as
originally planned but will end on Sunday, October 25th at midnight.
On October 26th, the candidates that will move into round two will be
displayed on the site. This extra 6 days will candidates more time to
get friends and families in to vote and get comfortable with the
blogs. Here’s an update on the technical issues:

Registration: You do need to register anew with rachaelray.com to
vote. Previously you would register and then still need to login to
vote. People were confused in thinking it would automatically log them
in and wondered why they were still seeing the Login to vote button.
We have changed this so immediately following registration, you are
logged in.

Buttons: Some could not see the Submit button on the registration and
Voting Booth pages. This should be fixed.

Voting: When you go to vote for a bracket, you will notice a small pop
up that shows more information about the organizations. Then you can
click into either of the orgs to learn more. You need to close this
window and go back to the original page with the Voting Booth to place
your vote. This may seem confusing to some so we are trying to make
this process smoother.
