[Dailydrool] Amber Rose gotcha day

Today, two years ago, I was excitedly starting my trip from Ohio all the way down to Arkansas, where I was to attend OMBR's picnic, to view Ginger, one of the OMBR 24 puppies.  I was just going to look, and could come home without her if I thought she would not fit in with my other two bassets (yea, right).  Tomorrow is her gotcha day, as I fell in love with one glance and had to make her mine.  When we left the picnic, she started talking to me, it got louder and more frantic as we drove.  Finally, it stopped and I smelled the smell I would soon become very familiar with-puppy poo!  When I pulled over to clean her and her crate, she looked at me, told me off, gave a huge hmmpf! and turned her back to me.  Almost like she was telling me 'I told you to stop, but did you stop? NO. I hope you learn to listen to me. When I say stop, you better stop' and she has been ruling my life ever since. She fit in with my other bassets with no problem, loves
 every person she sees, and when she gets happy, her whole body wags, not just the tail. Nothing makes her happier than to score one of my socks, stuff it all the way in her mouth so she thinks I can't see it, and do her little happy dance all around me, wiggling all over. To this day, I don't know how I lived without her before October 20, 2007.
She would like everyone to give their loved hounds a kiss in honor of her special day, and I will take care of her kisses.
