Rosie started her Chemo today. Luckily we are right here with Purdue in our backyard and so we have access to the great Purdue oncologists.

She is now embarking on her 6 month chemo treatments. Hopefully she won't have any side effects and will go into remission quickly. We know that the chemo won't cure her, but it will give her another year to year and a half.

things that i learned about cancer that I didn't know before this month:

Carbs "feed" cancer. So Rosie is on a high protein low carb diet and I am now cooking for the dog....something that I said I'd never do! lol

Lymphosarcoma is one of the most common forms of cancer in dogs.

With Chemo (the Wisconsin-Madison protocol) 80-90% dogs go into remission.

If you choose not to do chemo most dogs only live for up to 2 months.

Not sure that these "facts" will be helpful to anyone, but they were interesting to me as I was researching. Hopefully Rosie has a nice long life, but please keep her in your thoughts!
