[Dailydrool] Tank

I had a dog who had been in a soft crate a billion times with no problem.
One day he chewed his way through it and refused to ever go back into a soft
crate. He was not a Basset but his reaction was much the same. While I have
no proof, I suspect that he got caught somehow in the zipper.
Also, be sure Tank does not have any kind of collar ANY KIND of collar on
when he is crated. I'm sure you know this already.

I would try leaving him uncrated, or if that is not possible, barricading
him in one room OR buying a whole new crate, not a zipper crate but a metal
crate. You can always throw a sheet over a wire crate if he needs to be in a
"den". I would also consider moving the crate to another location.

If none of this is possible, then try feeding him by the crate. First right
in front of it, and when he is comfortable eating there, move his bowl just
inside the door. Don't rush, and in the meantime you need to try to find an
alternative to that particular crate. This is what it looks like to me. Just
my opinion.
