Dear Conley,
You are absolutely right. Socks do run away from home. Some are never seen again, but others set up home in the yard, hiding under, erm, well, let's say basset crap (and not the nice stuff).

Here in the UK I think it must be too cold for bras to live outside as to date, none of ours have run away - but we do find evidence that Rolph and Clara have stopped a few pairs of undies escaping. Clara is particularly good at this and often spots them trying to run off while I'm sorting the laundry.
