[Dailydrool] Will getting a friend for Gracie help her nervousness?

We rescued Gracie from a kill shelter in December.  She was ill when we got her, but as she recovered we found her to be skittish at times.  She is about four and is still very playful around us, but cowers at unknown things especially noises.  We are considering rescuing another young male basset in hope she will calm down some.  Any responses?
