[Dailydrool] Teeth cleaning without anesthesia

Recently Tufts vet school ran an article on this subject in their magazine 
YOUR DOG (September 2009). They warn that anesthesialess tooth cleaning does 
not prevent periodontal disease. In fact, scaling only the upper part of the 
tooth, as is done in this procedure, actually seems to make dogs more 
susceptible to bacterial infections.
