ya.. see now that's what she thought of..

The thing about these throws from Costco.. they are very strong weave on one
side.. I liken the material to some fairly old curtains that we have from
the late 1960's . very strong, very **VERY** durable .. then on the other
its tufted up cotton like material, and if you look from the back (smooth)
side, you can see that they stitched the smaller of the two types of
"blankets" in large squares a few inches in from the edge.

The larger of the two throws they've had, the back shows a diamond or square
stitch pattern in a 2 inch by 2 inch pattern all through the whole thing.
This larger one with the 2x2 stitching is the better of the two.

With the smaller one, a temp foster was able to cause the fill material to
separate, thus when you lay the thing flat, you see a really puffy area near
an edge **BUT** even though the hound was able to cause the fill to
separate, the material on both sides is still 100% intact, no claws thru, no
teeth ripping!

I must have 8 of these throws . and to date, not one has a hole, a couple of
them are nearly 4 years old! They have worn so very well they are more than
worth it if you can find some at the Costco price (20 to 30 dollars rather
than the 50 dollars in some catalogs)

If you look below I found some links to pictures on line for the smaller
style and the larger one, note both are plain material on one side, and
tufted cotton/something on the other.. I have two comforters I use on my
bed, one of them new, because the boys got hold of the first one, and were
able to easily rip one side, and de-stuff that area of the comforter.

PS. found this on line: http://tinyurl.com/yemzq96

that would be a picture of the smaller sized throw, note the indent about 3
inches in from the edge, stitching in a larger square portion of the throw,
this was the type that a temp foster was able to pull the fill up but not
break the material either side, so now its puffy.

and this is a sample of the back of the larger one, the diamond / 2x2 stitch
pattern on the back makes the "pull apart" like happened with the smaller
one not possible .

we use comforters that have migrated from the people bed to the floor.
