All the drool was a tremendous help - thanks to all for taking the time to send your huge amount of healing drool and prayers. From her third day after surgery, Bella was back to her old self. She has demanded her two walks a day, although very slow, it is important she exercises her nose out in the open air.
Bella's lab report states the Mast Cell Tumor classification is a grade 2 (intermediate grade). " It continues that the majority of canine mast cell tumors, possibly up to 80%, are classified as grade 2 ." "As such, this is a relatively large subgroup of mast cell tumors and variable clinical behavior can be anticipated." This would include the completeness of excision and the initial size of the tumor at time of surgery. After all of that being said, it states that Bella's mast cell tumor is a grade 2, medium, with complete removable having side surgical margin of 1.5 cm and deep surgical margin of 1.5 cm. It's believed that they completely were able to remove tumor. Although her incision is about 8-9 inches long, and after the stitches are removed, we pray our 5 year old (in October) gal will be up to her usual task of hiding her bones around the house.

Healing drool to all in need,

Patti, slave to Miss Bella
