[Dailydrool] How to treat a Hot Spot

I use tea.? Brew regular black tea, let it cool and use the tea bag as a poultice.? The tannic acid in the tea cools the spot and helps heal it.? I have several foster bassets and someone always seems to have a hot spot this time of year.? Another alternative, but I don't think it's as effective is witch hazel.? It cools and helps dry the area out.? I've never had any luck with bandaging it.? They just seem to chew them off.?
