Can dogs suffer from sleep apnea?

My Pw Gina Marie ATB used to snore every night, and I found the sound very comforting.  Holly Noelle snores too, but not every night.  What I have noticed is that every once in awhile she goes dead quiet, just for a few seconds, but long enough that I notice it.  I was just wondering if dogs can suffer from sleep apnea, and if they can, what do you do to treat it?
