Alex and Melissa:

I am so sorry about your loss of Homer.  It was wonderful that you were so
patient with his problem when so many other people would have put him down
right away.  It sounds like he was a very special part of your family.

The bassets are sending hearthealing drool, and I'm sending gentle
thoughts.  I'm also hoping the gates to the Bridge close for a while; we
have lost too many of our beloved houndies over the past few weeks.  Laura
