Ilene,
I use Pet's Best for Basil, and am very happy with them. I had VPI with Waldo,
and had nothing but problems - they would only accept claims faxed or mailed
directly from a vet, they refused to pay for things that were clearly covered,
and even when they did agree to pay for something it took several months to get
the reimbursement. Granted this was years ago, so they may have improved.
Pet's Best allows you to fill out your own claim form, and you can email the
form or submit it online (you need to include scans of your invoices.) They also
do direct deposit of reimbursement, usually within 7 business days. They have
several kinds of policies; not all of them include wellness care but some of
them do. The wellness benefits cover up to about $500/year, and have no
deductible. Overall, I've been really happy with them.

I know this question comes up a lot so I apologize for asking AGAIN. I am
looking for new pet insurance. Does anyone use a company that is not only good
but also covers wellness (routine care and vet appt cost)I have a pet insurance
review that rates the companies and it seems like all the companies that are
highly rated do not cover wellness. I currently use VPI for Charlie and it is
renew time so I am looking for something better.
Thank you.
Ilene
