This came off of the K-9 Amber Alert Group - -if anyone is in this area, 
please be on the look out for the missing dogs.  To make this Basset 
related, it says that Cindy used to show Basset Hounds.

House Fire in Chapel Hill, NC
Two Whippets are missing
Several other dogs have perished in the fire

Cindy Swanson who showed Greyhounds, Basset Hound and Whippets', house 
has burned to the ground on Tuesday 2/16/10.

Donations to help this family are being directed to Gail Boyd at 8948 
Hope Hill Lane, Apex, NC 27502-7845.
If you care to help this family as they have lost everything please make 
the donation by check to Cindy Swanson.
The Red Cross is putting the family up at a local hotel for three 
nights.

Cindy's son is in the burn center in Chapel Hill. He was burned on his 
hands and feet.

Several of the dogs, a greyhound and whippets did not survive and two 
Whippets are still missing.
