My 3 lick their bowls very carefully and gaze at me soulfully . "Please, Mom, may I have some more. If they thought I give them more I am sure they just might try a few lines from Oliver Twist. Empty bowl turned on its side, paw in bowl, sad basset face. Oh, the guilt! Surely a little bit more would not hurt. Be strong Sue. If you can diet so can they. They then proceed to a frantic, through search of the kitchen floor for any crumbs. Such a cruel world.! Vega ATB, our much mixed mutt, broher to Bruno ATB and Francie ATB, developed an allergy to his collar and and had to go with real leather, he had worn his other cooar for years and suddenly he lost all his hair around the cooar line. He looked spiffy with his leather collar. Of course. now when I see it I get teary-eyed. To all you romance readers, Jennifer Crusie has a novel with Fred a bagel doing a great job as matchmaker. Dog on the cover is a red and white basset. The title is "Anyone but You", I stopped being a romance fan but I do enjoy the occasional romance with a bit of humor. Crusie usually has that and often adds dog rescuing which make romances more palatable. There are a few scenes that Miss Angela should not be exposed to and oreo eating (Fred did throw them up) but Fred was characterized very well. Even Crusie admits it is Fred's book.
