The Dashing Bassets are sorry to hear that Mr. Cooper went to the Bridge. 
They hope the treats there are as good as the ones mom makes them, but they 
are in no rush to find out. They just want Mr. Cooper to enjoy the tastiest 
knoshes there. They will miss seeing him at their auntie Beth's 
get-togethers.

The DB's are also sorry to hear that Buster had back troubles. Abner would 
like to say that just before he had his surgery the regular vet took X rays, 
and his back looked good, even though he had pain. Mom is sure that at least 
the slipped disc was there, even though it did not show up. The expensive 
tests done by the specialist, when Abs went down in the back, showed he had 
both a slipped and a blown disc.

It's great to hear that Mr. Buster is doing better with rest and medication. 
We sure hope he doesn't need any more than that--so many bassets don't seem 
to.
