Good morning all!
 
I wanted to paw in and say thanks to everyone who tried so hard to get us the weekly shelter challenge moolah.  We gave it a great effort and sadly we didn't win.  I thought we had a fighting chance and was truly amazed and grateful for your hard work.  
 
So let's try again this week with this week's basset rescue!
 
On a good note, even though we didn't win the challenge, we did make two wonderful placements this week.  Nakita who never stops moving is going to a home where she'll have a new very active four legger brother and whose new dad loves to roller blade with the dogs.  Tommy who God made extra sweet and loving so that people would overlook his severe hip dysplasia is going to a wonderful woman who loves her bassets and whose daughter works for a vet/chiropractor who uses lots of natural and alternative treatments and who didn't hesitate when I said he had to stay on the Ester-C for the rest of his life because it has worked so well for him.
 
So it has been a successful week - it's all about the bassets and the money will work itself out.
