[Dailydrool] Trooper update

Hi, all!

Trooper had his surgery today and everything went fine. He was under anesthesia for quite some time, but he had no problems. The vetlady said she was able to close the wound, but his ear canal now points straight up (she didn't have enough skin to work with to do anything else). We'll have to either keep him out of the rain or find a little rain hat for him to wear. He may have to have some minor surgery in the future if the sores on his neck don't close on their own. They drew blood for heartworm check while he was under, and wonder of wonders he is heart worm negative! Thank you Lord, that he doesn't need to go through that, too. The vet said we might be able to bring him home tomorrow, but I am to call her to find out. All of the drool slung to this sweet boy is working. Now if he will just heal without any problems, we will be so thankful! We so much appreciate all the posts and e-mails and prayers and good wishes sent his way. We can't wait to get him home and show him what love and care is.
