  Helena,

There is a gal that pulls from commercial breeders in Missouri and knows of
four Bassets in need that are between the ages of 2-5. This breeder would
like to just give them up. The gal that can get them will actually be
traveling to Des Moines on Saturday--so could get them that far if needed??
 Are these dogs your Basset Rescue may be able to help with?  Only thing
they would most likely need is health certificates to cross state lines..
