[Dailydrool] snakes and pups

Supposedly mothballs deter snakes from entering a yard.  When we see a snake in FL we sprinkle them around the perimeter (outside the fence) and they seem not to mess around with our backyard.....mothballs also send armadilloes packing and we have filled several of their burrows with them and asked the critters to pls go live somewhere else.  Caveat - this is all in our front yard - not in the back where the dogs hang out.

 

So here is the dialog (monolog) from the livingroom this afternoon:  I was in the bedroom with the old guys and The Colonel was with Bruno the pup:  "Daddy is not a chew toy.  Ouch.  Here, chew on this bone - good dog!  No - not on the daddy - on the bone - not on my pants - not on my shoes - OUCH - that was my arm.  Here is a toy - good - dog - OUCH - I am not a chew toy - giggling - ha ha - you are so cute - OUCH - good thing you are - OUCH - almost all grown up - ha ha - OUCH."

 

My father used to say "Your teeth are like stars - they come out at night" and "Your eyes are like pools - cesspools", etc.  Well - that is what happened with Bruno - all his bottom little teeth came out in the night - just little bloody holes and little big boy teeth coming in.  So now I think he is 18 weeks old...or so......
