[Dailydrool] entropion surgery costs

Hi- a while back I posted asking for information regarding entropion  
surgery and I got lots of useful response. Today I got the estimate  
from Eugene's vet to do both eyes ( even though just one really has  
any kind of tearing going on.) the estimate is for $1,1.00.00 but  
could vary from 25% up or down when actually done. I had also called  
the veterinary opthamologists and got a quote of between $1500-$3,000.  
Just want to know if that seems typical for a fairly affluent suburban  
area of a major city ( Chicago.) We are going to have it done, but I  
just wanted to know if this cost seemed in line with other  
metropolitan vet offices. Unfortunately, we never get the very  
reasonable rates some on the drool quote for their procedures, but I  
assume that's because they're not living in
