Women are Angels...And when someone breaks their wings..They simply continue
to fly....on a broomstick...They are flexible like that...

Good Boy Conley! Your momma & dadperson didn't need the excitement of
you an Nigel going on an excursion all by yourselves. Nigel, Timing is
everything...and yesterday was not the day to sneak out of the yard and
go on an adventure.

Cowboy, Colt woofing in. Momma had our nutz removed a long time ago..I
still able to hump Ruger and annoy him. Momma says that by taking me
nutz, it take the wonder lust out of me and tones down the testosterone,
which make me a safer, and more snuggly & happy hound. So now I am not a
ball of hyped-up angry pup. Good luck with your surgery...Tell the
momma to have you plenty of doggie ice cream for post surgery recovery.

Rimadyl: My Shadow ATB was on rimadyl for a while around age 10. She
had bad arthritis in her hips and if she laid down for more than 15-20
minutes she had a very hard time getting up. The vet put her on
glucosamine & chrondrition, and rimadyl until the glucosamine could kick
in. At 4 weeks I was to wean her off the rimadyl and only give it to
her on bad days. Bad days were usually days that it was cold and damp.
She did great on it and after the weaning at 4 weeks she rarely had to
have the rimadyl. At 6 weeks on the Glucosamine she was running basset
500's chasing her grandson Wolfie around the yard, and back to keeping
Comanche her mate in line. I didn't like the possible side effects of
the rimadyl, but it boiled down to quality of life. She was in pain and
miserable. I had to do something. She did die from a tumor that was on
her kidney that ruptured around age 12. I don't know if it was caused by
the rimadyl or not. Her daughter Princess made her journey to the
bridge after her kidneys failed her after weaning a little of pups at
age 7. (it was her last litter and we had just had her spayed) All you
can do is try to do what is best for your hound and for me I measure
that with quality of life and try to put myself in their situation and
do for them as I would do for myself.

Ruger "me either"
