[Dailydrool] Worn out Vocal Cords????

  Our Rosie has a good friend by the name of Cassie (who is a beagle) and every time they see each other,they howl a greeting.  Well, this evening Rosie saw Cassie and I know Cassie saw Rosie and Rosie gave a howl and Cassie didn't send one back. 

  Her owner told me that Cassie lost her voice a few days ago.  She told me that she took her to her Vet and he told her that Cassie's Vocal Cords were  "worn out".  They have her on Prednisone (sp) and Cassie is getting chicken broth as she is having a hard time keeping solid foods down.  I never heard of such a thing and told my friend I'd put a plea for information out on the Drool as y'all always have been there to help.

  Has anyone heard/experienced such a thing as "Worn Out Vocal Cords"?  What's the prognosis, will she ever howl again?
