[Dailydrool] heartworm preventative

I was reading on Dr. Fosters and Smith website that Tri-Heart Plus (I think
it is their brand?) is the generic equivalent of Heartguard Plus.  It was
significantly less expensive and with three hounds, it would be nice to save
money wherever possible if I can get them the same level of protection.
Does anyone have any experience with this heartworm preventative?
