[Dailydrool] first foster!

The MI pack here have been on the earflap phone with their furbuds back in
IL, and Emma was quite pleased with the news this afternoon. Apparently in a
fit of (near insanity?) inspiration, the Grandpawrents have decided to
foster a senior hound. What's that Emma? Oh, make that TWO senior hounds! A
momma hound & her puppy (who are 12 & 10 respectively, so, maybe not such a
puppy), but apparently a bonded pair & 1 that sings for her supper, just
like Emma. So, if all goes well tomorrow the foster girls will be headed
southward on a transport, where they'll be swept off to become, at least
temporarily, "country hounds." Here's to hoping that it all goes well, and
that they settle in well. This will also be their first time handling a dog
with a heart murmur so it should be an educational experience. (And, I have
a feeling that I'll have to play "secretary" and do more posting once the
new flock of oldsters arrives safe & sound. I have a sneaking suspicion that
they will be roaring at the youngins, and keeping them on their toes soon
enough!
