[Dailydrool] pH problems

Hi all,
Has anyone ever experienced urine pH problems?  I've been battling this
off and on with Sophie since she had a UTI back in January.
She's been on and off the acidifer medicine...I can't remember what it's
called.  Something that starts with an "A".

Anyway, we just spent a month on that medicine (for the 3rd time) and I
had her at the vets for shots and urine re-check.  Her pH was still at a
9 even after being on the meds.  He said that there was no blood and a
very small amount of crystals.  

So my vet suggested we hold out for another two weeks, no medicine and
see if there are any changes.  If her pH is still high, then maybe have
to extract urine straight from her bladder to see if there is an
infection in there....

This is new territory for me...
