We are enjoying our celebratory trip to Scotland, now touring the Highlands. Yesterday, at Glenfinnan, I was delighted to meet Vivian and Simone, with their rescue Basset Maximus, up from Durham on holiday as well. Maximus is a lovely (massive!) red and white, a little wary of strangers. (I have one of those at home.) 
Who knew the sights in Scotland would include a proper dog (as TBO would have said)?
