[Dailydrool] Entropion surgery

One of my bassets,  4 yr. old Bernie (a.k.a. Bernoodlehead) is headed for surgery on one of his eyes for entropion (turned in eyelids). There are several eye specialists in my area (St. Louis,Mo) and I work for a group of vets so I know we're in the best of hands, but I don't really come across many pets who have had this. Plus basset eyes are "special" compared to tighter skinned dogs. Has anyone had this surgery, and were you happy with the results? His one eye is turned in very badly, the other not so bad. I have not had a consultation yet to know if we're looking at both or one. Any input would be greatly appreciated, and a little get well drool would make him feel better. I'm calling tomorrow to get the ball rolling, and while I'm trying to be very calm about this, I'm nervous.
