Miss Becky was a lively basset too and was always limping at times. She has 
an assortment of human wrist tensor bands and they worked. I bought small 
ones.
The only problem is they fall off so you have to be very observant but they 
work
Also in pet stores they sell pet tensor tape or just usual stuff. It helps 
hold things together

And for backs Miss Becky used those neoprene waist slimming bands.  They too 
helped
Soak paw in epsom salts in case something's in it.
