I am so sorry to read that Bubba, & PW Gus has made their trip to the
bridge. Take heart that they are once again young and healthy hounds.
May they live forever in the magic of your memories.

Healing drool still coming for Freddie, Zephyr, the Michigan rescues
buppies and the BaRCSE buppy Titan.

Happy Gotcha Day to Rosie! Hope that you score lots of tasty treats for
your big day.

Sleeping with Dogs can kill you article: What a bunch of basset pooh!
Okay here is my 2 cents...this must have been writing by a bunch of
animal hating germ-a-phobic's. As a medic and seeing the recent increase
in children with allergies and asthma...especially food allergies. I
chalk this up to parents being obsessed with overly clean kids & houses.
Using too many chemical cleansers, like bleach. Our bodies need to be
exposed to small amounts of germs and bacteria so that the immune system
can work properly and create germ & bacteria fighters. If it doesn't
get enough "true" germ invaders then it will start working to produce
fighters against things that are not "true invaders" like peanuts or
other things. The body also becomes hypersensitive to normal allergens,
germs, bacteria that it would have normally had no problem fighting off.
Kids are meant to get dirty, and a house is not supposed to be
sterile...neither is the world. You need these exposures so your body
knows what is bad and what isn't and produce anti-germ fighters for when
the body is truly fighting off a true disease, or illness like flu, or
worse. So sleeping with dogs may protect you, by giving your body a few
germs for your immune system to teach itself how to fight off. Now I
wouldn't recommend making out or French kissing a dog...but then again
the dog probably has a cleaner mother than a lot of humans. (don't know
how you dental folks do it)
