Fiona also hangs a little low for a girl and had a series of UTI's.  
The vet recommended wiping her with baby wipes.  I get the Huggies 
sensitive kind.  Who is more sensitive than a basset? This has just 
become a part of our coming in routine. It cleans off any urine and 
other things she might have collected while doing her business.
