BaRCSE has taken in a sweet six year old red and white girl who is going to
need some serious vetting. Lucy has a totally raw strip down her back that
is a terrible mess. We aren't sure what is going on at this point but I know
her foster family is going to get her to the vet just as soon as they can.
Here is a link that will take you to Lucy's page:
http://barcse.org/dogs/lucy.html Just scroll down to find the videos that
her foster family has shared with everyone. The videos not only show the
terrible area on her back but also show what a wonderful personality this
houndette has. It's just amazing how these dogs have such terrific
attitudes even when you know that they really don't feel very well. I think
Lucy was telling her foster family thanks for saving her from certain
death. You'll see what I mean when you see her back. This sweet girl is
unadoptable at this point and would have been put to sleep for sure at the
shelter. I know that we'll fix her up and start the search for a family for
her very soon.

Right now, BaRCSE has taken in three heartworm positive hounds who are going
through treatment. The addition of vetting Lucy is going to just about break
the bank. We are desperate for foster homes and any financial help that
anyone can give. We're doing everything that we can to fulfill our mission
to save as many hounds as we can but we can't keep taking in hounds if we
don't have places to put them or funds to care for them. Our current foster
families are amazing and have more than stepped up by taking at least one
hound. A couple foster homes have two foster dogs! They are just wonderful
families. Please, if you have ever thought about fostering, now would be a
great time to start. Please give us a call if you have space to fit even one
extra hound to give them a second chance.

As always, BaRCSE is very grateful for your continued support.
