[Dailydrool] Singing to bassets

Alicia, I love the idea of the Underdog theme!

Paddi B Basset used to fall asleep to "Hound dog" -- (You ain't nuthin but a
hound dog... wagging all the time... additional words vary.)  And dear Billy
had his name sung in a pop song whose origins is lost to me. Vernon Q
doesn't actually have a song of his own, but all our cats do...

I actually believe that the cats hear songs better than they hear their
names (pause here for non-cat-lovers to fall about laughing). Clio gets a
variation of a Supertramp song long forgotten, Tiger gets one based on a
Stan Rogers (Canadian folkie) song, and the late lamented Opus used to
gallop across the yard to the strains of the 1812 Overture. (kitty-ope,
kitty-ope kitty Ope Ope Ope ... etc.)

 Do give the Underdog a hug for me. I have a lovely vision of him flying
across the yard!
