[Dailydrool] CJ the weenie man

Thank you for all the drool!

CJ is doing a little better - not out of the woods, but his heart is beating
again.  

CJ evidently has acute pancreatitis, which caused him to vomit, and he
aspirated on his food.  A dog without a heart condition would probably have
been fine, but his heart wasn't beating properly and he was turning blue
when I took him in last night.  

His enzyme levels are off the charts, but we can't do anything about that
until we get his pancreas into better condition.  He is staying with the
vetman for the time being, and if the treatment goes well he will probably
be home sometime next week.

I have the greatest vet in the world.  I think he was up all night with CJ
last night, as was his wife.  

CJ's prognosis is guarded, but he is a tough old bird, so I am trying to
keep a good thought.  Drool is still welcome though, until he is back to his
old cranky self and home where he belongs.

It's way too quiet around here.
