I have been on the phone with Dr. Robyn and she said he came through
the surgery fine, she tacked his stomach, his vital signs are good, he
is just slow to wake up. But they have him on a warming bed with comfy
blankets so he just might be enjoying his snooze.
Once he is alert, I will have to transport him to a 24 hour acute care
vet and fortunately there is one about 10 miles away. If all goes well,
he will be there for a day or two and then home where I can spoil him.
The drool really works! Within minutes of sending my post, I began
getting comforting messages which helped slow down the tear production
knowing that so many people were sending us good thoughts.
Thank you all for caring and keep the drool flowing until he is
completely out of the woods.
Thankfully, this happened in the vet's office and was recognized by one
of the nurses so he got prompt treatment and I still will be home on
"sick" leave for a few more weeks so I can care for him.
Kathy with snoozing Crackers, Loki and Jordan and the houseguests,
Drummer and Gracie
