I have a hound that lost the use of his hind legs and
has been using a cart for over a year. A donated cart is a
good jesture if it is the proper size. They really need to
be custom sized for the height and weight of each hound.
Make sure there is not too much weight being put on her
front legs as that could cause too much stress. Conrad used
the wrong type of cart for over a year (donated by his
surgeon) and he made no progress and was very unhappy. I
recently got a new set of wheels custom sized for him and he
loves it. If you are any where near someone who knows how
to size them, you should get some guidance. Alternatively,
look up eddieswheels.com on the internet and they have very
good instructions on how to size a cart.
