I also have a French Basset (didn't even know they existed until someone
pointed it out to me one day & I did some research). My Cleo girl is a
svelte 42 pounds & has remained there consistently even with all the treats.
Mugsy came to me at about 70 pounds & definitely needs to lose some weight.
He's getting exercise at least going up & down the stairs. I'm going to
start him on the green bean diet. Quincy at 8 months looks to be about
Cleo's size & looks great. Me, however, I also need to go on the green bean
diet, so Mugsy & I will be sharing some of those types of dinners. LOL
