[Dailydrool] Carprofen & other meds

I just got a call from the vet as Mugsy has his eye procedure done this
morning for his Entropion. He removed some of the upper lid & also tightened
the lower lid (I can't wait to see how he looks). He said he thinks he will
do just great. He has a lot of excess brow and skin so at some point, he may
have to take out another fold but he wants to see how he'll do with this.
AND he has to wear the cone of shame for a week. THAT ought to be fun!
Thanks for all the drool.

ALSO ON PET MEDICATIONS: I saw Pam's message about putting Abner on Rimadyl
& getting it online. I, too, was amazed at the "sticker shock" on the cost
of Cleo's Cushings medication. It's $88 for a 30-day supply at the vet.
Dang, that's more expensive than my monthly prescription. Someone did
suggest to me to call my pharmacy & see if they stock that medication, and
if they do ask my vet to write a prescription & have it filled there using
my prescription drug plan. Has anyone else done this?

I'm going to check out Pet Meds online also. Has anyone done any
prescriptions for dogs from Canadian pharmacies? I see things listed for
them all the time & they're really very inexpensive compared to a lot of
others; however, I would need to know that they don't skimp on quality.

I know a lot of Droolers out there have to deal with medications for their
dogs. What are some of the cost-effective ways you've dealt with this?
