[Dailydrool] water drinking

My bassets drink and drool into the water so much that I feel bad for my 3
mini doxies and end up getting them fresh water. I can tell when the water
looks thick. My brother's chocolate lab sticks his whole nose in and drinks
and then walks and tracks water terribly all over. It needs to be mopped up.
Placing a mat underneath him does not work. I can also tell when one of the
hounds here have been out eating mud or bits of grass. The good ol'e water
bowl will have traces. We fill the large water bowl about 3 or 4 times a day
with 5 hounds, 2 being bassets.

Maggie update--she is on bland diet. I started to add back in about 15
pieces of kibble as she has not had a bm today. She was not cooperative for
nail cutting and combing and she usually is. She is not getting on the dog
couch any longer for months now and I just thought it was her advanced
aging. Still not sure about Addison Disease or not. I am going to watch her
closely. She has not urinated on the porch or kitchen where we can see it,
but my carpeted areas have an odor to them like perhaps she has been
urinating and we just not finding it. Usually the boy doxies will come
downstairs in the morning (we carry them) and tattle right away by sniffing.
Mazzie wears a diaper so we know it would not be her. I'll update more when
we know more.

I am so sorry to just read that Taz went to the bridge. I remember the pics
of him down by the water. The puppy Francis is adorable and will keep you on
your toes. My 4, almost 3, and 2 year old mini doxies keep me moving still.
