[Dailydrool] Buster

I just wanted you all  to know that Buster our poor little 4 and a half year 
old rescue boy is doing well He is slowly learning what treats are he looks 
at the Barbecue squirrel cookies and the chicken jerky sniffs them, tastes 
them then sets them on the floor then sniffs them, licks then starts to 
slowly chew little pieces and eats them, all the while I am holding back 
four other snarling drooling snorting Bassets and a very large Bassador who 
are all chomping at the bit to get the cookie. He is so grateful for any 
attention and any food he is such a gentle sweet boy!
He is sleeping a lot on a comfy dog bed right at my side next to the 
computer he does not know he can get on the furniture, even though my 
husband and I often sit on the floor because the Bassets are all on the 
couches and chairs ( and bed) here.
He has a terrible cold, his nose is full of mucous as are his poor eyes I 
have to clean his nostrils and his eyes about every half an hour he is on 
2000 milligrams of keflex for his staff infection and since he spits the 
peanut butter out and looks at it and walks away I have to figure a better 
way to get the pills down.
The vet called yesterday and forgot they would be short a vet on Tuesday one 
took Tuesday off so they had too many surgeries scheduled they asked if they 
could do Buster on Wednesday instead of Tuesday because they wanted to make 
sure they have plenty of time to do his eyes, so his entropian surgery is 
now scheduled for Wednesday that is better anyway gives him one more day of 
antibiotics.
Just wanted to thank everyone who has emailed us with drool well wishes and 
help for Buster and will keep you all informed of his progress!
