[Dailydrool] Proud Mom Moment

I rarely post, but just wanted to share a Very Proud Mom Moment for my
rescue, Milton.  We adopted Milty from 4 The Hounds almost a year and a
half ago.  Milty came to us very shy and would not approach new people, nor
would he stay in the same room with any of our friends for the longest
time.  It took a very long time, but Milty is slowly coming out of his
shell and stretching his comfort zone around people he doesn't see very
often.  We belong to a dinner group that meets each month.  This was our
month to host the dinner.  It was a lovely evening, so we were all sitting
out on the back porch socializing.  I happened to see Milty walk onto the
back porch, sit down next to someone he just met and put his paw up as an
indication he wanted petting.  I darn near dropped what I had in my hands~
I was so proud of him... it's taken a lot of time for him to regain his
trust in humans again.  He spent that entire evening going from person to
person smoozing for pets and attention.  I just had to call Gladys at 4 The
Hounds and let her know.  She almost cried from joy.

Rescues are the best.  :-)
