[Dailydrool] Losing my mind at the White House

OK, so I mentioned that Dan was feeling better.He's beginning to show signs of his old self so I'm very happy.Did I mention that I had retired him from the obedience ring in November because he was slowing down and not really enjoying it any more?Did I mention that I was keeping my eyes open for a young pup who would be a clean slate to work with in obedience, tracking and perhaps agility?I picked up 15 month old Ricky on Friday 4/6.My birthday present to me.He's not very confident, yet, but seems very smart.So far he'll sit, down, come and has learned the "touch" game.A very good start.Did I mention that the Bassets I have are Dan 11, BooBoo 11, and Bones 9?Nobody wants to play with him.Oh, and my vet called me late last week that someone they knew "found" a 5 month old red and white girl and did I know anyone who wanted a young Basset?Did I also mention that I am crazy?Out of my mind?Totally insane?Have no idea what I'm
 doing?Aaaaaaarrgggghhhhhhhhh!!!Yes, you've figured it out.Basset people can always figure these things out.I now have a 5 month old little red and white girl I'm thinking of naming Lucy (redhead, Lucy and Ricky?  get it?)Ricky and Lucy did the basset 500 through my living room, dining room and kitchen for 2 solid hours last night.I finally separated them because either one of them, or I, was going to have a heart attack.Have I lost my mind?What was I thinking?I haven't had a puppy for 20 years.Now I have 2!Really, is this what puppies do?It's only been one night and I already need to know: how long does this last??????How could I have forgotten this?BooBoo wants to bite their heads off, Bones doesn't know what to do with them (he has issues), and Dan, my poor sick boy, is trying to play with them.Well, at least that made me smile.Actually a lot of it made me laugh out loud.But I know I'm going to be pulling my hair out also.And some good news: Ricky
 has a fairly wet mouth so be prepared for lots of drool being slung in all directions! Randee and the White House Gang
