[Dailydrool] Public vs private responses

Riche, you're right and I'm one of those people who respond to people's
questions....off list. I always send condolences but those I do privately
and probably will continue to do so just because I feel what I say to that
grieving person is personal and just between them and myself. I often share
some of the things I've discovered with my hounds over the years but have
gotten so that I do it privately. I guess I don't care to be judged and
certainly not flamed by some people like others have been in the past. I
have to say, flames haven't been thrown on the list in a while and it's
been nice. Everyone has a right to their opinion and we should all feel
free to express ourselves without having to worry about flames being thrown
but that isn't how it's worked in the past. We all do things differently
and should be respected for our differences. I personally would always
appreciate it if someone pointed it out if I'm doing something that might
harm my hounds but, if someone wants to chastise someone publicly, it
should be done in a fairly respectful manner. Or, if you have a bone to
pick with someone, do so privately and email that person individually. I
think email gives all of us a certain sense of anonymity and might allow us
to write things that we might not say face to face and that's never a good
thing. Personally, I love this list and have made some wonderful internet
friends through it. I guess I'll try responding publicly when I think I
might have something up my sleeve that will help someone and see how it
goes.

Our Shadow has been on an eating strike for a while and I've been more than
a little worried. We finally bought a ham steak, diced it up and have been
mixing a very little bit of the diced ham along with sharp shredded cheese
and vanilla yogurt in her kibble. Well, it's working for now. She is
actually excited at meal times and is acting like a normal hound who wants
to eat. What a delight! I'm really hoping that, if we can just get her in
the habit of being happy about eating, she'll overcome this dread she has
about food. I guess time will tell.

Everyone, please vote, vote, vote for CBHR in SC in the Shelter Challenge
every day. Twice a day if you're able to. McCormick is catching up to them
just like they did with BaRCSE last time. Lets help them win that $1000
like we did with BaRCSE. I know they will put the money to good use for the
hounds.

Heart healing and get well drool is being slung to all in need.
