[Dailydrool] basset coat

The basset standard states:  The coat is hard, smooth, and short,
with sufficient density to be of use in all  weather. The skin is loose
and elastic. A distinctly long coat is a disqualification.

Doesn't really mention single or double coat.  

I myself
have finished champions who become wooly catepillers in the spring and a
few with no undercoat at all.  And they all live in Wisconsin and
play outside in the winter.
