[Dailydrool] Muzzles at the Vet

I thought it was interesting when I read the post from Bev about muzzling
your dogs at the vet. Just today I had my one Basset at the vet for a very
badly infected anal gland. I knew she was not going to be a happy camper
when he started messing around with her butt, so I told him flat out, before
you start messing with her, put a muzzle on her. I wanted to keep everyone
safe. The vet tech that was holding her said she appreciated my gesture. I
don't understand why owners make such a big deal about muzzling for a few
minutes of safety. Once the dog bites, you can't ever take it back and then
that dog is marked a biter. Better to walk out of the vet with a smile on
your face then wondering what's going to happen next because your dog just
bit someone.
