[Dailydrool] Basset Loving Husbands

Hey Marie, there are a lot of "Basset loving husbands" out there - and some
of us are even single <grin>! The ex-wife thought I loved the dogs more than
her. I suppose she was right.

And I'm going to take a moment to introduce the newest addition to my pack:
Leia Round. (No, I'm not kidding. That's her name - I'm not to blame!) The
name is perfect - she really does mostly lay around.

Leia Round is estimated to be 6 or 7 years old. She's a lovely medium size
basset/beagle mix that I've adopted through Oregon Basset Hound Rescue. So
far things are going very well between her and Maggie d'Earest. 

I did move a new dog into the house sooner than I had anticipated. Dreamer
and Beethoven have only been gone less than two weeks. But during that time,
Maggie was changing. Barking more than typical, pacing, digging along the
fence in the back yard, all behavior traits that I believe showed she was
lonely. So OBHR had this quiet dog in their listings that was still fairly
young. With Maggie being 12 years old or so, I didn't want too active of a
dog. This seems to be a great choice.
